Rekovar Wins AI MED Shark Tank
We are thrilled to announce that Rekovar has been named the winner of the AI MED Shark Tank Competition at AIMed 2024! This recognition is a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize care for neonates affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS).
NAS is a serious condition that affects newborns exposed to drugs like opioids, benzodiazepines, or alcohol in utero. These infants experience withdrawal symptoms that can lead to long-term neurodevelopmental complications, posing challenges for both healthcare providers and families. With the incidence of NAS continuing to rise, the need for innovative care solutions has never been more urgent.
At Rekovar, we are developing an AI-powered monitoring and scoring device designed to transform how NAS is managed. By analyzing physiological, neurological, and behavioral biomarkers, our technology aims to:
- Improve the accuracy and consistency of NAS assessments.
- Enhance care delivery in both hospital and home settings.
- Reduce hospital readmissions and length of stay.
- Optimize therapy for better outcomes.
This innovation has the potential to not only improve neonatal care but also ease the emotional and financial burdens faced by families and healthcare systems.
